Here's Life Inner City - Easter Blessing Bags: Volunteers are needed to fill paper bags with some of the things that children treasure: candy, fruit, crayons, and a toy - Saturday, March 24th , 2012. NYC Relief Bus In East Harlem: Volunteers are needed to help distribute resources and minister to the homeless on the following Saturdays: February 18th, March 10th, or April 21st, from10am to 2pm.To volunteer, email Savina at savina@hfny.org. NYC Rescue Mission: Volunteers are needed on Friday evenings from 7:30pm to 9:15pm to pack pantry bags; volunteers are also needed on Saturdays from 9:45am to 12pm. Mentor Women in Career Skills and Job Searching: Volunteers are needed to assist women at the Bowery Mission Women's Center in developing career skills and job searching on Thursday evenings or helping at the computer center on Wendnesday, Thursday, or Friday afternoons from 1:15pm-4:15pm. Teach ESL to Immigrant Students: Teach English to immigrant adults on Saturdays from 11am to 12:30pm at Living Waters Fellowship in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Prepare A Meal & Build Relationships At Bowery Mission Women’s Center! The Bowery Mission Women's Center needs female volunteers to be part of the Saturday and Sunday meals at this Upper East Side home which offers homeless women a nine-month residential recovery and transitional program. Be part of building relationships, preparing a meal, and encouraging these women on their journey. The meal service happens from 3:30pm-7:30pm. Women's Lecture Series - International Women's Day Of Prayer We will be hosting an evening honoring International Women's Day of Prayer on Friday, March 2nd, at 7pm in the Fellowship Hall. IWDP is a day annually set aside for women to learn about international women's issues, as well as to pray for our sisters overseas. Pamela Schiess will lead a presentation on the five most dangerous countries for females, followed by a time of discussion and intentional prayer. Dinner will be served. Please join us as we continue to connect women socially, intellectually, and spiritually. For more information, please email women@TrinityNY.org The next Rwanda Mission trip will be in July 2012 with a focus on building and painting houses, conducting trainings, presenting the cows (for which we raise money during the Running for Rwanda campaign) to vulnerable families, and visiting sponsored children. There are different activities and travel dates from which to choose, including an optional, personal excursion (not part of the mission trip) to climb Mt. Kenya following the mission work in Rwanda. Mount Kenya Climb Info Meeting - Sunday, March 4th For anyone going on the July Rwanda Mission trip and potentially interested in the Mount Kenya climb (personal excursion), there will be an informational meeting specifically about the climb on Sunday, March, 4th, at 1:15pm at Trinity.
