ALL ROADS LEAD TO ROMANS – NEW Series Begins January 10
You’ve heard the old expression, “All roads lead to Rome”? Today we use it to refer to the idea that there are many different routes to the same goal, but the phrase was originally based on the fact that the Roman Empire’s excellent road system radiated from the capital like the spokes of a wheel, so that eventually you could connect everything back to Rome.

In the same way, the book of Romans is such a robust explanation of life that it touches just about everything! In fact, one could argue that Romans serves in the Bible as a nexus, a crossroads, a critical juncture where phenomenally humongous doctrines all meet and connect with life.

Do you want to know what’s wrong with the world? Romans addresses that. It explains to us how and why our world is broken, and what God has done and is doing about it. Do you want to know what’s wrong with people? Romans addresses it. Romans explains what is wrong with us and what God is doing about it.

Do you want to know how to get along with others? Romans addresses that. Romans was written to people who were having trouble working out their relationships, especially between two cultures: Jew and Gentile. They are very different. More different, in fact, than Republicans and Democrats! How can they get along? Romans addresses that.

Do you want to know how to be a new person? Romans speaks to that. Do you want to know what the Holy Spirit of God is up to in this day and age? Romans tells us. Do you want to know how to relate to government? Whether or not you have to pay your taxes? Whether or not you have to obey the speed limit? Romans addresses that.

Do you want to know how to be in right relationship with God? Romans deals with that too.

I could go on, but you get the idea. All roads lead to Romans!

So join us starting January 10, 2016 as we kick off this exciting journey of exploring what this book of the Bible has to say about life. “All Roads Lead to Romans.”
