Prelude: “Rising”, an original piece by Jon Snell

Invitation to Worship

HE IS RISEN!  He is risen indeed!

No matter where we are in this very moment, we worship and celebrate God’s victorious story, proving once and for all that He would go to any length to be with us.

Thank you for joining us online as we celebrate our RISEN SAVIOR!  Let’s begin worship by reading the Worship Response below:

The world is full of turmoil and unrest.
He is risen!

We want to help, but we don’t know where to start.
Take heart, He has overcome the world!

You prayed for the unity of your church, but we are not unified.
He is risen!

We long to be a vibrant, healing community of faith.
He who began a good work in you is faithful to complete it.

My heart is full of turmoil and unrest.
He is risen!

I need your power inside of me.
In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.

He is risen!
He is risen indeed!

Invitation to Communion

The victory we experience because of Christ’s resurrection from the grave begins when we accept His invitation to come to the table.  Those of us who have made the decision to follow Jesus are invited to communion with Him and with our family in Christ.

Although we are not physically gathered together, we invite you to join with us as the Church, wherever you are, to partake in communion.  After all, the elements we use for communion are not what save us, but they symbolize Christ’s sacrificial love.  So if you have bread or crackers at home, let that represent Jesus’ body given for you.  If you have any kind of juice at home, let that represent Jesus’ blood shed for you for the forgiveness of sin.  If you do not have any of these items, feel free to participate in your heart and mind as an act of worship with fellow believers around the world.

  1. Please take the bread and before you eat, declare:
“This is the body of our Lord Jesus Christ which was given for me.  I will take and eat this in remembrance of Christ who died for me.”
  2. Please take the juice (wine) and before you drink, declare:
“This is the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ, which was shed for me for the forgiveness of my sins.  I drink this in remembrance that Christ’s blood was shed for me, and I am thankful. Amen.”
