Holy Week 2016 at Trinity

During this Lenten season, we meditate on the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We want to draw closer to Christ in our understanding of what He did for us because of His great love for us. We believe it is important to become fully immersed in His story and we hope to give everyone, from kids to adults, the opportunity to engage in discovering Christ.

Below is a listing of all our events and services for March 19-27, 2016. All of them are free and we would love for you to join us in the celebration!

03.19 Kids’ Passion Walk – 11AM & 12:15PM
Calling all 1st-5th graders! Come join one of our interactive storytelling shows to learn about the events of Holy Week. Each show ends with an egg hunt! Space is limited to 20 children per show and pre-registration is a must. Adults are welcome to come and watch from the pews; no reservation needed for adults. 03.19 Preschool Easter Egg-stravaganza Party! – 11AM-12:15PM
Craft party and egg hunt in Fellowship Hall. No RSVP needed, but bring a basket for the hunt! Friends are always encouraged to come!

03.20 Palm Sunday Services – “The Jesus Story” – 9:30AM & 11:15AM
Join us as we walk through Jesus’ life in preparation for Easter. Childcare and children’s programs available.

03.25 Good Friday Tenebrae Service – 7PM
Tenebrae is Latin for “shadows” or “darkness”. During this service we experience the last hours of Jesus before He is crucified. The service ends in darkness and silence. Limited childcare for 5 and under. Email cindy@trinityny.org if you need childcare.

03.27 Easter Sunday Services – “Who Am I?” – 9:30AM & 11:15AM
As we identify with Jesus and discover who we are, we are changed. Childcare and children’s programs available for kindergarten and younger.

There is no CONQUEST (middle/high school) or GODQUEST 1^st-5^th grade workshops on Easter Sunday, March 27.  We’ve stocked the basket in the Narthex with Easter treats for the GODQUEST kids to use while they attend service with you.  Ask the ushers for them as you enter the sanctuary.

The preschool classes and nursery/toddler rooms will be open as usual to accommodate younger children during our two Sunday worship services (9:30AM and 11:15AM).
