The United States recognizes April as Arab American Heritage Month.
Arab Americans can trace their ancestry to the countries from which they or their ancestors migrated to the United States.
These countries include Algeria, Bahrain, Comoros, Djibouti, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates, and Yemen. Heritage month celebrations are a way to teach or learn about other cultures and examine the way in which these cultures are viewed within American discourse.
At Trinity Baptist Church, we love our Arab-American brothers and sisters in Christ and we hope they find encouragement in our acknowledgement. Please join us in considering the unique contributions that Arab-Americans make to our country and join us in prayer for peace in the Middle East.
