Wednesday, September 2, 6:30pm. Artists, come to “Neighborhood” on the first Wednesday of each month! What does it mean to follow Christ’s command to love our neighbors, through our creative work? This fall we’re discussing excerpts from the new book, “Culture Care.”
CAELA was founded as Church and Art Network in spring of 2010. After C&A founder, Luann Jennings, had several years as the Director of Arts Ministries at Redeemer Presbyterian Church in NYC, she felt called to help the many people who were contacting her for advice and information. With Redeemer’s blessing, she departed the staff to found Church and Art Network to serve arts leaders of faith.
In spring 2014, after several months of prayer and consultation with stakeholders, we changed our name to CAELA and adjusted our vision accordingly. The change reflected new needs and interests in those who were coming to us for help, and new shifts in the larger arts marketplace. For more information, read our blog post, “What’s in a name?”
